1. Extended Cat This “multi-tasker” strengthens the arms, core and balance while preventing some golf related injuries. Begin in Cat Pose on all fours with the arms directly under the shoulders and the knees directly under the hips. Slowly extend the left leg back and up while keeping the core muscles engaged and the back flat. Extend the right arm forward and up. Then change sides,
2. Revolved Golf Balance This dynamic posture is great for improving weight shift and balance on uneven lies and helps develop stability on one leg. It will also enhance shoulder turn, rotation and coil, leading to more power. While standing, shift all of your weight to the left leg and slowly lift the right knee in front of the body. helps you hit the ball more solidly and consistently. While standing, shift your weight to the left leg. Take the right ankle and cross it just above the left knee. Actively flex the right foot to protect the knee joint. To increase intensity, slowly bend the left leg. Raise a golf club to shoulder height in front of the torso.
4. Crescent Moon Side bends like Crescent Moon are great for lengthening and strengthening the side of the abdominals. This promotes a better turn for both the backswing and downswing while leading to better posture, consistency and power. While standing, raise your arms overhead. Engage the core muscles and remain facing forward while slowly bending to the side.
5. Single Leg Golf Swings This exercise is one of the best drills for every player. Simply hit shots or take swings standing on one foot while maintaining balance and posture throughout the entire motion. Simple, but very effective.
