This Child Is Brought Up By Wolves And What She Is Doing Now Is Unbelievable People A feral child is a human child who has lived isolated from human contact from a very young age and has very little or no experience of human care, behavior or of human language. Some feral children have been limited by people (in most of the cases it's the parents) and in some cases, the child neglection was due to the parents refusal of a child's severe cognitive or physical impairment. Feral children have a history of severe abuse and trauma before being abandoned. There have been a lot of feral child cases in the past decades. One such child is Oxana Malaya who is a Ukrainian woman and she is known internationally for her dogimitating behavior.
Oxana Malaya, the feral child of Ukraine
Oxana Malaya is a feral child aka wild child who was born on November 4, 1983, in Kherson Oblast, Ukraine. According to the doctors and medical reports, she was a normal child at the time of birth. She was neglected by her parents at an early age, the parents were alcoholic who paid no attention to the child. Oxana's childhood lacked all the essential values which should be there while a child is young which turned her into a feral child. She was not nurtured well and lacked the basic elements of a human relationship with the
parents. Oxana was 3 years old when she started wandering around the house and her parents won't even notice that she was gone. Her parents were always busy having liquor and couldn't provide the basic elements necessary for a child's sustainable growth. Let's know more about these cases.
The girl grew up with dogs
She went to the dog pen which was behind her house and laid down by her dogs. With the dogs around her for the first time, she felt warmth and comfort. Her parents were happy as she decided to live with the dogs because now they had no responsibility and now they could drink without no responsibility. She was fed raw meat like the dogs, scraps and was even nursed like dogs. Recommended story: - Two abandoned dogs and their transformation
She was one of them now
She walked on all four legs, licked herself and even whined when she was hurt. For around two years, she was raised by dogs with themselves. Her characteristics had changed from human to canine. She didn't know how to walk, talk or have any human interaction. She started eating off the ground without using her hands. She panted, barked and even growled when she was threatened.
The feral child was rescued when she was 7
It was only in 1987 when a social worker rescued her and took her custody. She was taken to Teremok elementary school and orphanage in Ukraine. She stayed at the school for 4 years and a documentation was done of her assessment by the teachers and staff at Teremok. The assessment stated that she was aggressive, underdeveloped in hygiene as well as social skills.
Trying to get back
She was sent to a secondary school after four years of elementary school even though a lot of her skills were underdeveloped. She was kept for 6 months in the secondary school until her teachers thought that she needed more help to get back to normal. Now she was sent to a new orphanage and her job there was to feed and water the dogs and cows. Teachers had a problem facing her because she would always walk on all fours and follow dogs, on being stopped by teachers she would bark at them and try to bite them.
Oxana needed more treatment
Oxana was 8 when more rigorous training began to be exercised with her to bring her back to the human society. When a nursed walked into her room for the first time she found her lying on the floor and when she approached her, she started barking and came to bite her. Oxana started to show improvement after a few years. Slowly and gradually she started to walk on two legs and then she started learning new words. After turning 18 she was sent to an adult home for the disabled. Such was the plight of the feral child.
