Welcome! A Moment to Reflect…

Take a moment to reflect on a time when God used someone to make a significant difference in your life.

How often do you pray and look for opportunities to make a difference in someone else’s life? (Once a day, once a week, once a month, hardly ever, never before) “Blessed Be the Name” #56 “There is Joy in the Lord” #616 “In Christ Alone” “O, How He Loves You and Me” #228

Vote Kentucky Project We are pleased to again be able to offer the opportunity for voter registration for anyone who isn’t already registered to vote. On Sun., Sept. 23 and Sun., Sept. 30 we will have the forms available in Room # 112. You will want to complete the form if you aren’t registered or if you have had a name or address change recently. These forms will also be available in the church office during the month of September if there is a more convenient time for you to take care of this.

Food Pantry Item For This Week Can of Soup or Box of Crackers Thanks for your support of our food pantry! The September needs list is available in the Resource Center.

Ladies Ministry Meeting – Tues. Evening All ladies are invited to our Ladies’ Ministry Meeting on Tues. evening at 7:00 p.m. We will be making some plans for the remainder of the year. Jay Stone Singers Concert – NEXT Sun., Sept. 16 We hope you’ll plan to be here next Sunday morning for a special concert with the Jay Stone Singers. This is a great opportunity to invite others! Small flyers are available for passing on to contacts; posters are available for posting in public places. These are available in the Resource Center. Cookout - NEXT Sun., Sept. 16 A cookout in the pavilion is planned for next Sun. following the AM Worship Gathering (concert). Everyone is invited to enjoy a meal together! Hamburgers and hot dogs will be furnished by the church and we’re asking you to bring the sides, desserts and drinks! A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. We will also need a lot of help to move tables and chairs to the pavilion on Sun. morning. Men’s Retreat – Sept. 21 – 22 There will be no monthly Men’s Ministry Meeting here in September so that our men may attend the Men’s Retreat at Camp Calvary at Mackville on Sept. 21 – 22. A flyer with more info is posted on the bulletin board along with a sign-up sheet. Please sign if you plan to attend. Operation Christmas Child – Trailblazers Project It will soon be time to work on our shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Materials will be available in early October. The Trailblazers Pioneer Club will again this year assemble some boxes for their club project, so if you are unable to prepare a box you may donate toward this. Make checks to the church and earmark for Trailblazers Project. See Diane Stoltzfus for more info. Hostess Committee It is time to make a new Hostess Committee schedule. We would like to add several individuals to our list. If you are willing to help with set-up and clean-up of church wide events (potluck meals, showers, communion preparation, etc.), this area of ministry may be for you. A monthly schedule is set up and most individuals serve one or two months per year (along with 4-5 others on their month’s committee). There are months when there are no events that need the Hostess Committee’s service, but we do set up a list of names for each month to have available. Call the church office or talk with some of our ladies if this is something you’re interested in helping with.
