Year 13 - Time to Change
The sixth form have been busy delivering assemblies to the lower school all about mental health and the 'Be in your mate's corner' campaign. Ben Fedele, Kryzstoff Machnik, Alla Mahmood, Karolina Kieliszek Juliet Iruthayanathan, Sotu Ribelle, Alex Milenkov, led all assemblies this week to raise awareness about mental health and ensure lower school students all understood how best to help each other when they spot someone may be struggling. They will be coming into tutor time sessions throughout the next few weeks promoting this campaign. For more information, see https://www.time-to-change.org.uk/

Year 8 Boys’ Football Team come to the rescue! Thanks to our Year 8 boys, a member of staff from Cumnor House School was lost in Purley car park. Our chivalrous boys politely and helpfully guided her to the station. Mrs J Depros went out of her way to say what lovely students we have. Well done to: our Citizens of the week. Year 9 & 10 Girls’ Badminton Team Last week a group of four girls in year 9 and four girls in year 10 took part in a Badminton tournament in Croydon. Both teams did fantastic with the Year 9 girls coming joint first and the year 10 girls coming 3rd. Well done to Montoye, Zahra, Theadora & Ria (Year 9) and Karis, Leanne, Eunice & Georgia (Year 10).

World Tennis Tour Finals Student Trip
'Forty two Thomas More students attended the World Tennis Tour Finals at the O2 arena last Thursday. Some thirty of these did so as a reward for consistently excellent conduct throughout the Autumn 1 half-term. They were dazzled by the verve and sublime skill of both Roger Federer & Marin Cilic. The balance of power in the game switched regularly between both players and was eventually taken to a third set decider in which Roger Federer prevailed with a scoreline of 6-7, 6-4, 6-1.'

We would like to congratulate the following students for achieving the best conduct and progress in their subjects for the first half term tracking.
