ADULT MINISTRY: GriefShare: The next cycle of GriefShare starts Tuesday, January 9, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., and Thursday, January 11, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. If you have lost a loved one, we hope you will consider exploring the hope and healing that GriefShare has offered to so many others. If you know of someone in a grief situation, tell them about special ministry. It doesn’t matter how long ago the loss has been. Contact David Funke for more information (741-3737). MISSIONS & OUTREACH: Due to the added expenses of a new daughter and various sponsors having to reduce their monthly contributions for personal reasons, our missionaries in Tanzania, Eric and Linda Funke, are praying that God would bring forward 20 new monthly donors (of any amount) and/or increases by current monthly sponsors by the end of the year. Having regular monthly supporters allows them to better plan and budget for the future. Thankfully, seven families have already answered the call with new or increased monthly donations. Praise the Lord! The Funkes are still prayerfully hoping that 13 more people will partner with their ministry in this way. Is God calling you to be one of them? If so, you can set up a secure monthly automatic withdrawal at http://globallutheranoutreach.com/supportfunke.html. If you do, the Funkes have asked that you email [email protected] so they can thank you personally. The Funkes are excited about the ministry opportunities coming up this next year, including continuing to teach and support their students, mentoring new GLO missionaries who will serve people with albinism, leading Bible study, and finalizing the adoption of their daughter Julia. Thank you for your ongoing prayers for them and for their community in Tanzania.
