General Tailgating Guidelines: • Tailgating is allowed only in designated UWL parking lots, the Dahl Ford lot and the Dahl Subaru lot. All regular automobiles may park in these lots for a single-‐game parking fee of $10. Selected other campus lots remain available, free of charge, on a first-‐come, first-‐served basis. • Oversized vehicles such as RVs and trailers may park in the Dahl Ford lot and the Dahl Subaru lot for $30 but must park in such a way as to occupy the fewest number of spaces possible. • Tailgating lots open three hours before kickoff. Lots close two hours after the game’s conclusion. • Individual tailgating is limited to the areas in front of and behind each parking stall. Tailgating may not in any way detract from the ability of other fans to access or park in adjoining stalls. • Tents, tables, chairs, games, and other tailgating materials may not be erected or set up in such a way as to completely block traffic lanes or prevent emergency access to areas of the parking lot. • The use of tent pegs or similar semi-‐permanent attachment structures in all UWL parking lots is prohibited. • Propane and gas grills are permitted. Charcoal, wood burning units, or other open flames are prohibited. • Gas-‐powered generators are prohibited. • Patrons are requested to clean up their tailgating areas before departing. Trash receptacles are provided. • No food, drink, or merchandise may be sold anywhere on campus without prior University approval.
All fans using the tailgating lots are expected to conduct themselves responsibly and to be respectful of others enjoying the tailgating experience. UWL Campus Police monitor tailgating lots for underage drinking and inappropriate behavior, including abusive or foul language. Violation of any part of this policy is grounds for removal from the parking lots and, potentially, from the UWL campus. Restrooms: Portable restroom facilities are located in the tailgating lots. Restroom facilities in Mitchell Hall and the Stadium are also available for public use. Restrooms in other University facilities, including residence halls and academic buildings, are not for public use. Handicapped Parking: Parking for people with disabilities is available in marked areas of the tailgating lots. Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages: • The consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed only in the Dahl Ford and Dahl Subaru lots. Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed outside the perimeter of these two lots. • Alcoholic beverages purchased on site must be bought from the L-‐Club concessions tent, the only approved beverage vendor in the tailgating lots. • Alcoholic beverages are limited to single servings (e.g., a 12-‐oz. can of beer). No common sources are permitted. Examples of common sources include, but are not limited to, kegs, beer balls, funnels, or other similar large quantity containers. Drinking games and/or the use of any device intended to accelerate the consumption of alcohol is also prohibited. • The Dahl Ford and Dahl Subaru lots are regularly patrolled by uniformed Campus Police officers. • Consumption of alcohol by individuals under 21 years of age is a violation of state and federal law, as well as University policy, and it is illegal to provide alcohol to underage persons. It is the responsibility of each tailgating group to ensure that individuals under the age of 21 do not consume alcohol at their location. Individuals consuming alcohol may be asked to provide legal identification and proof of age to UWL Campus Police. State regulations regarding the possession and consumption of drugs will also be enforced by Campus Police officers. •
