PhaseTrack® Cable Assemblies For Phase/Temperature Performance The Times Microwave Systems Phase Critical Product Line includes the recently broadened range of PhaseTrack® cable assemblies employing Times’ TF-4 dielectric, and SiO2 dielectric semi-rigid cable assemblies for use in extreme environments. The PhaseTrack® coaxial cables are now available in standard flexible, low smoke flexible, in-the-box flex, and semi-rigid versions. Exhibiting superior phase performance with temperature changes, they eliminate the common “phase knee” found in PTFE-based cables. High-Power IR LEDs For Military Imaging High power infrared light-emitting diodes (IR LEDs) are manufactured domestically by Opto Diode Corporation, a member of the ITW Photonics Group. The state-of-the-art LEDs are durable, low cost, and deliver high output visible to high output near-IR light. The new IR LEDs are ideal for a wide variety of hi-rel military tasks including night vision, photo controls, optical encoders, and auto-focusing cameras. Packaged in convenient metal cans, Opto Diode’s high power LEDs are used in space applications where neutron and proton hardness is critical, missile guidance systems, and night vision illumination and markers. Deposition Sciences, Inc. (DSI®), manufacturer of highly durable thin film optical coatings, now offers very long wavelength infrared (VLWIR) filters that are ideal for remote sensing, chemical analysis, astrophysics/astronomy, and horizon sensors. Utilizing DSI’s high precision physical vapor deposition (PVD) process, these robust coatings readily pass all environmental tests and can be repeatedly cycled between ambient and cryogenic temperatures, without degradation. The new line of filters provides high transmittance over the 12-micron to beyond the 22-micron wavelength region. DSI’s line of very long wavelength IR optical coatings are available in narrow and wide bandpass (NBP and WBP) filters, long- and shortwave pass (LWP and SWP) filters, and antireflection (AR) coatings. DSI’s VLWIR coatings can be applied to a variety of substrates, including germanium (Ge), zinc selenide (ZnSe), silicon (Si), and indium antimonide (InSb). Edge placement, transmission blocking ranges and levels, and operating temperatures and angles can be customized, per specifications.
