J WHITLOCK Elizabeth DeShazo Whitlock, age 98, of Richmond, died Sunday, September 8, 2002. Mrs. Whitlock was the widow of Roy D. Whitlock, and was born in King and Queen County on February 22, 1904 to Dr. John Newton and Laura Porter DeShazo. Elizabeth taught in Public Schools of Essex County 14 years. She was a member of Ginter Park United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and trustee Tappahannock, Newton and Donna DeShazo of Gloucester, and Sarah DeShazo Carreras of emeritus of Ferrum is survived and by her nieces and nephew, andtheGouldin TignorChapel, of Tappahannock; also College. numerousShegreat-nieces great-nephews. RemainsNancy rest at Laburnum Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Essex Cemetery, Tappahannock.
