Quilt Top Assembly 7. Refer to the Quilt Assembly Diagram and lay out Blocks One and Two alternately in rows of six across and eight down. 8. Cutting From each of the twelve fat quarters: • Cut two 71⁄4" squares. Sub-cut each square twice diagonally to make eight quarter-square triangles (QST). • Cut two 67⁄8" squares. Sub-cut each square once diagonally to make four half-square triangles (HST). • Cut eight 21⁄2" squares. From binding fabric: • Cut five 21⁄2" x width-of-fabric (WOF) strips for binding.
Finishing 10. Layer the quilt top, batting and backing and quilt as desired. 11. Stitch the binding strips together end to end using diagonal seams. Fold and press the resulting long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together. Stitch to the quilt front, matching raw edges and mitering the corners. 12. Fold the binding to the quilt underside and hand-stitch the folded edge to the quilt back.
