Soda Lime Times Step 1: Using a 3/32-inch dipped mandrel, create a double bead or snowman shape from Hades. The CG Snowman Beadroller is perfect for this project. Step 2: Flatten the bead using mashers.

Step 3: Gently heat the bead to remove any tool marks from the mashing process. Step 4: Using white, add a dot for the face and a second dot for the tummy. Step 5: Flatten the dots with a smooth paddle tool.

Step 6: Create the belly button detail using a pointed piercing tool. Step 7: Using Hades, add two gathers for the penguin’s wings. Step 8: Heat and check the wings for proper adhesion. If needed, use a tool to shape. Step 9: Add two gathers of orange for the feet.

Soda Lime Times Step 10: Flatten the feet onto the bottom of the body with a smooth paddle tool. Step 11: Add a gather of yellow to create a beak. Step 12: Gently shape into a triangle by using the edge of a paddle tool. Flatten. 11

Step 13: Using a fine stringer of Hades, add two small dots for the eyes. Step 14: Flatten the dots to ensure a secure connection. Step 15: Flame polish the final bead, then place the finished bead into a preheated kiln.
