Membership in AAU is by invitation and is based on the high quality of programs of academic research and scholarship.
PROGRAMS OFFERED UA Direct UA Direct is for students with strong academic qualifications and high English-level proficiency. Students apply for direct admittance to the University of Arizona. Students immediately begin taking classes that count toward earning their bachelor’s degree for one of the 100+ majors offered.
Programs at CESL The University of Arizona’s Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) offers high-quality English language programs. Undergraduate University-Track (U-Track) CESL’s Undergraduate University Track provides ESL learners with an opportunity to take UA courses while continuing their ESL studies at CESL. U-Track UA courses are sheltered, Englishimmersion, credit-bearing courses. Each UA course in the U-Track is paired with a CESL class that is designed to support learning in the UA course. Intensive English Program (IEP) CESL’s Intensive English Program has classes for beginning to advanced students. Students come from approximately 35 countries and study more than 22 hours a week with a master teacher. Students in the full-time Intensive English Program (IEP) must take 2 integrated-skills core classes (Oral Communication and Written Communication) and 2 skills courses (Grammar and Reading Skills).

There is no application fee for qualified students* who apply to UA (direct, U-Track, or IEP) who have completed applications and required documentation (as described in the steps below).

Admissions decisions will be given within 72 hours of receipt of your completed applcation and submission of required documentation.
