Step 1 — Battery

 Unplug the power cord and turn off the device to remove the battery. 

To remove the battery, flip the device, so that the bottom is facing upward.

Step 2



Slide the battery to the right side until you hear a click.



Once you hear the click, the battery must be released from the compartment.



Remove the battery carefully.

Step 3 — Hard Drive 

Locate the Hard Drive panel

Step 4



Remove single screw (labeled F4) by using a Philips size #00 screwdriver



After removing the screw, lift the panel off the hard drive.

 Save the screw. It will be needed for reassembly

Once panel is removed, pull tab to remove hard drive.



Remove old hard drive and replace with new equipment

Insert hard drive back into laptop

Tuck in the "pull" tab



Replace panel



Replace the single F4 screw

Identify the connector pins on the battery.



Line up the connector pins on the battery with the connector pins on the computer and push inward to reconnect the battery.



After the battery is connected, slide the exterior panel towards the center of the computer to lock the battery in place.
