Trace Estimating Import Underlay & Trace: Simplify Your Quotations
Trace Estimating is a modular add-in for MAP Software’s suite of Estimating Solutions that allows an electronic underlay to be imported and used to create accurate quotations of any job. Eradicate the need for A0 drawings and highligher pens, with Trace Estimating you can use MAP Software’s innovative Design Line functionality to quickly and accurately scale any import, be it PDF, DXF, DWF or DWG.
MAP Software’s Trace Estimating allows for the import of multiple drawings at different scales. The Scale Tool easily selects points we want to scale, or users can manually input a scale factor. Time-saving with Trace Estimating versus manual take-off is instantly recognisable. The user friendly graphic interface allows simple selection of dimension, elevation & ceiling heights, which will be used for flexing to terminals by using left clicks to trace over the underlay. The unique service takeoff allows for selection of both inline and end of line equipment which can be positioned on any trace line with automatic sizes applied. MAP Software’s Design Line Technology makes Trace Estimating both simple to use and incredibly benefical for any estimator. Design Line automatically calculates which fittings are to be used on services by using a combination of button codes and mappings. By using ‘Fill in 3D’, all items on the Design Line are generated and added to the quotation, automatically. The Multi-Service Design Line feature, commonly used for pipework, allows a user to combine multiple service lines so that only one trace is required. Assign each line in a single pass a service, trace and all lines are drawn together, providing a total cost.
Trace Estimating also comprises of smaller touches to help users secure more successful bids. Assign different camera views to a complete model and provide the client with a visually dynamic quotation. Use Trace Estimating with any MAP EST Software Solution to maintain a competitive advantage. With the highly detailed costing database, item rates are automatically calculated, increasing producting and the chance of producing another successful bid!
