The North Carolina Central University Track & Field program cordially invites all former Track & Field student-athletes, family and friends to the 4th annual Track & Field Banquet. This exciting event will take place April 20 - 21, 2018. Our theme is “PASSING THE BATON: WHERE PAST MEETS PRESENT FOR A PROMISING FUTURE”. This is an annual event to support the NCCU Track & Field program and the student-athletes with scholarship and operational dollars. The purpose of this event is to share with our former & current NCCU Track & Field student-athletes, friends and supporters, our Ten-Year Plan for the following: The Mission Statement of the NCCU Track & Field Committee is:
To initiate and assist in initiatives that will support the NCCU
Track & Field Program, and its student-athletes, in obtaining maximum team and individual performance in college Competition. 2. To enhance the legacy of program founder and architect Dr. LeRoy T. Walker by educating the public of his legendary contributions to the sport of Track & Field, to the University, and society as a leader and educator.
The 2018 honorees will include : The 1964/1965 Track Team - The University’s first Track & Field Conference Champions and the 2007 Team NCAA Division II Indoor 3rd place finishers
