Mobile Payments - Market Overview • The market depends heavily on the number of smartphone users, which is increasing by 1.5% quarter-on-quarter and around 5% year-on-year, and by 2020 it is expected that 70% of world population will have smartphones.

• The mobile payments market in 2016 is expected to reach $27.1B, with users spending an average of $721.5 annually. • The number of mobile broadband subscription is growing globally by around 30% year-on-year. • By 2020, number of smartphone users is forecasted to reach 6.1B, smartphones accounted for close to 75% of all mobile phones sold in Q1 2015, compared to around 65% during Q1 2014

90% of world population over 6 years will have mobile phone by 2020

~80% of smartphone subscriptions added during 2015–2020 will be from Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa

India grew in terms of net additions (+26 million) in new mobile subscriptions , followed by China, Myanmar, Indonesia and Japan
