Tradition of Excellence! Eligibility • Initial Eligibility checks • We check credits, grades, age, where they went to school the last 365 days
• If an athlete ends a semester with more than 1 F, they are ineligible until the regain date: Oct. 12/March 2 • The grade checks on Oct. 12 and March 2, determine eligibility for the remainder of the semester • If an athlete does not have 5 credits, they need to add to their schedule • If the previous semester does not have 5 credits they are ineligible until the regain date.

CHSAA policy is that athletes cannot have more than 1 F. Can’t change status of eligibility between final checks. • Some of our programs are more strict. Heads-up report occurs on Fridays Final check occurs on Wednesdays REPORT RUNS AT 3AM!!!! • Can only change eligibility if: • Work is made up from excused absences • Teacher error in data entry • AND FORM MUST BE COMPLETED AND TURNED IN, BY THE TEACHER, TO ME

Tradition of Excellence! Character Excellence • Athletes that do not follow CHSAA, D11, and Palmer policies on and off the field may lose the privilege to participate in all sports. Sportsmanship • 2014-2015 school year Palmer was ranked last (7th) in our league • 2015-2016 - Palmer ranked 5th, but only 2 points out of 3rd • 2016-2017 - Tied for 4th with Liberty HS • We expect all of the Palmer community to show EXCELLENT CHARACTER/SPORTSMANSHIP • 2 week ban for any fan that chooses to show unsportsmanlike behavior towards athletes, other fans, coaches, officials, etc. • If it happens again you are banned for the remainder of the year.

Tradition of Excellence! Drugs & Alcohol An student-athlete found to be in possession of or using alcohol, marijuana and all other controlled substances will be suspended from 30% of the season. 2nd time 50%, 3rd time done. This is a year-round rule. Some programs have stricter policies. If parents are found to consume alcohol, at a school sponsored activity, they will be asked to leave and will be unable to attend any events for 2 weeks. If it occurs again or your behavior is deemed to be aggressive, you will be banned from all future Palmer events.

Tradition of Excellence! Athletic Success – Growth & Competitive Programs Leave our programs better than when they came into our programs. We view the athletic success of an athlete is a team effort. The athlete, their family, and the Palmer Coaching Staff all play a major role in this growth. We desire to be a part of the growth in these areas: 1. Academics 2. CHSAA Transfer Policy If you change high schools after the start of you 9th grade year, through your 12th grade year, you must complete CHSAA transfer paperwork. -Form 9 for all of these. -Form 7 for all student-athletes that compete with us but attend other schools. 1. Full Eligibility 2. 50/50 3. No Varsity competition for 365 days

Transportation is not provided for contests in El Paso County. The district is still trying to hire drivers to support school routes, athletic contests, and field trip. All Transportation requests, for Winter, were submitted in September. We will do everything we can do to get transportation. District is utilizing charter busses when possible.

Game Passes • Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Swim & Dive, Volleyball, Wrestling: Normally $5 for adults & $2 for students to get into a home game • Parent passes are $25 and are good for 10 entries • Student passes are $20, good for free entry to all home games • Student passes are $10 with yearbook purchase • Your money stays here at the school • NOT ACCEPTED FOR TOURNAMENTS (Volleyball, Basketball, Track & Field) or Lacrosse
