2015 Aggie Golf School Staff J.T. Higgins
J.T. Higgins is in his 14th season as the head coach of the Texas A&M Men’s Golf team; overall Coach Higgins has been coaching for 23 years. In his tenure at A&M, the Aggies have become one of the premier golf programs in the nation. In all, Higgins has helped guide the career of 15 All Americans, 17 Academic All-American, 1 National Championship and 1 Big 12 Championship. Higgins was named Regional Coach of the year in 2001 and 2005.
Trelle McCombs
Texas A&M University Women’s Golf Coach, Trelle McCombs is in her 8th season. In her previous 14 years, she has coached numerous All Americans and All-Conference team members. Coach McCombs previously acted as the Tournament Director for the Atlanta Junior Golf Association and was co-founder of the junior golf camp at Augusta State University. Coach McCombs is also an accomplished player with two individual titles as a collegiate player
Brian Kortan
Coach Kortan is in his 2nd season as the Men’s Assistant Golf Coach. Previously, Kortan served as the Assistant Men’s Coach at the University of New Mexico. During his four years at UNM, he coached 3 AllAmericans and helped lead the Lobos to 8 Tournament wins including 5 wins during the 2012-2013 season. Prior to coaching, Kortan played professionally for 16 years with seasons on both the PGA and Web.com tours. Coach Kortan was an All-American at the University of New Mexico.
Designed to improve and educate junior golfers. The Aggie Golf Camp is the premier junior golf instructional camp in the nation, for beginners and advanced campers. All instruction takes place at the Jack Nicklaus/Jack Nicklaus II designed Traditions Golf Club and the 42,000 sq. foot Wahlberg Aggie Golf learning Center. In the spring of 2014, we opened one of the counrtries’ most complete game development outdoor practice facilities. This 15-acre facility includes 7 Champions Bermuda greens, 15 Bunker complexes, 3 water features, dedicated wedge area, and several wellplaced teeing areas for a variety of shots.
WHO CAN ATTEND Boys and Girls, Ages 10-18 CAMP SIZE Each session is limited- first 70 paid Students. COST Overnight Tuition- $1,250.00 Includes on-campus housing and meals Day Camper Tuition- $1,100.00 DATES Session I June 14-17, 2015 SessionII June 18-21, 2015 The final day of camp will be a true test of the abilities learned during the week. Students will participate in a competition on the Traditions Club golf course with trophies awarded to the top finishers. Camp will conclude after lunch and the awards ceremony immediately following play. Parents, friends and family are encouraged to and enjoy the day.
