Dear Colleagues: It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2015 Training Officers Consortium (TOC) Annual Institute in Roanoke, Virginia. The theme for this year’s Institute is “Connect, Learn, Lead.” This year’s Institute features three exhilarating keynote speakers and thirty-nine concurrent sessions, focused on continuing to improve our organization’s strategies for learning. This year, we’re bringing back a lot of favorite items from last year’s Institute. For example, the app is back and we’re extremely excited about TOC going GREEN by significantly reducing the amount of paper we print for the guides. We’re also bringing brunch to TOC as a way to further deliver networking opportunities to the attendees! The Institute opens with an exciting welcome reception that will set the tone for an amazing three days of learning and networking. The Exhibit Hall includes a showcase of talented vendors who provide solutions to achieve the human resource and training goals of your organization. The Special Events Committee has planned activities to engage and enhance TOC networking. It looks promising to be an incredible Institute that we won’t soon forget. I want to thank the TOC Executive Board, 2015 Institute Planning Committees led by the Annual Institute Chair Claire Gudewich with incredible support from Malcolm Miles in selecting the sessions and speakers. Their hard work is apparent and very much appreciated. I also want to thank the Sponsors and Exhibitors—your support is truly critical to our success. Finally, thank you to each of YOU for supporting TOC in this year’s Annual Institute. Your commitment to learning, personal and professional development and improving our Federal workforce makes this annual event possible.
