Traverse City Central Men’s Golf “A Tradition of Champions” 2017 Tee-Off Invitational A Two Day Event DATES: Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th. LOCATION: Grand Traverse Resort and Spa COMPETITION: We will be using two courses. The field will be split and will play both courses. We will be playing The Wolverine (a Gary Player design) and Spruce Run (a William Newcomb design). For information about the Resort and courses go online: www.grandtraverseresort.com. FORMAT: Six count four. Substitutes may be made on the second day. Coaching will be allowed everywhere EXCEPT on the green AND range finders that give DISTANCE ONLY will be allowed. Range opens at 7:30 AM ~ Only ONE space per team! Coaches Meeting at 8:00 AM ~ In the Grill in the clubhouse. Please be on time. Player Meeting at 8:30 AM ~ On the lawn in front of the clubhouse. Shotgun Start at 9:00 AM ~ Both courses. The FIELD will be limited to the first 36 teams to enter. Call Coach Dave McMellen at 231.360.9442 if you have any questions or e-mail at: [email protected]. ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $395, payable to “TCAPS”. This includes range balls and the use of all range facilities on the tournament days. The range at the GTR is really a dual facility with three practice greens. There will be one hitting area for each team. The teams competing on The Wolverine will be first to “hit” each day. The range should be open by 6:30 weather permitting. Players MUST use the MATS, sorry, not our choice. Bring a copy of your school’s tax exempt certificate and save 6% sales tax. FOOD: The “stationary cart” is currently being replaced with a permanent half-way house. The exact hours of operation are not yet known. The Clubhouse Grill will be open as well with a limited menu. That’sa Pizza 5430 U. S. 31North 231.938.2836 Will do box lunches for $8.75 (includes sandwich, chips, drink & brownie) If the golf courses are open prior to the event, practice rounds will be $25.00 per player (no more than two tee times).
