The Walpole Boys Hockey Boosters will be holding our 23rd Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Foxboro Country Club in Foxboro, MA. We have a great event planned this year, and like last year, we are limiting the field of golfer’s so please register as soon as possible. The Golf Ball Drop will be back again. This was a great addition to the day’s events last year. Dinner, awards and auctions will follow right after the golf in the Foxborough Clubhouse. Each year we seem to say the same thing, but this year has proven to be no different. We are faced with increased program costs and reduced high school athletic budgets. The Boosters play a critical role in raising money to help offset the costs to maintain a competitive boy’s Junior Varsity and Varsity ice hockey program. Our Annual Golf Tournament is by far our single most important fundraising event. This one event raises almost two-thirds of what we need to run the program, so a successful golf tournament equates to a successful hockey program. Whether you are able to play golf or not, you as a supporter play a pivotal role in the success of our tournament. There are many ways to help support our efforts, by either golfing, sponsorships, donating a raffle item or by just making a cash donation. We realize that you are constantly barraged by other teams and organizations within Walpole, as well as surrounding towns to support various fundraising efforts.
