Tristan Beckford-James Spirit Award Scholarship Selection Requirements • • • • • •
A full time student of Don Mills CI currently in his/her graduating year of high school who will qualify for the Ontario High School Diploma in June 2014. For September 2014, has been accepted into a post-secondary program at an accredited community college or university, leading to a degree or diploma. Demonstrated community and/or extracurricular involvement and leadership. Preference will be given to candidates who made significant gains in their high school career and who have demonstrated much growth and promise. Student must have completed all their high school courses with the public school system. VALUE: $500.00
The following items MUST be submitted by the applicant in order to qualify for the scholarship: 1.
A completed application form.

Letter from you describing why you are a suitable candidate to receive theTristan Beckford-James Spirit Award. Include in your letter a brief discussion on "the value of friendship" (approximately 2-3 pages in total, about 500-600 words). You may expand on any information listed on the Application Form itself.
3. A complete list of all contact information used within your application (names, numbers of all groups/ organizations mentioned in your application). 4. An up to date Credit Summary will be added to your completed application by Guidance. NO APPLICATION WILL BE CONSIDERED UNLESS IT INCLUDES ALL OF THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS. There will be one award granted each year, to be presented at the annual Commencement exercises. The award will be paid directly to the recipient, who must provide proof of registration in a full-time post-secondary program. Completed APPLICATIONS must be submitted to Don Mills C.I.
