Troubleshooting Manual Please be aware of these options as follows : 1. Mainboard is sensitive to static electricity. Please Touch a grounded object to release static electricity before operation. 2. Please ensure the power wire connection is correct. 3. Please Cut off the power when changing interface connection.

1. Black Screen Step 1 . Check Power Supply

Power Indicator

a. Check the power indicator, if the light is on , move to Step 2 ; b. If the light is off, check the wire connection & voltage selection if they are correct ; c .If the light is off and they are correct, you need to replace a power supply.

Step 2 . Check Mainboard a. Check if the 40X40 Fan is running. If not, please check the wire connection between power & mainboard is correct and the wire is not loose; b. Click Reset Button on the mainboard , check D1 indicator : - If D1 lights on for a second then went out and screen is black, try to reconnect screen wire for several times , if still not working , you need to replace a screen. - If D1 indicator is always off and screen is black you need to replace a mainboard.

2. White Square Step 1 . Check Mainboard

a. Click Reset button, check D1 indicator: - If D1 lights on for a second then went out and screen is full of white square, try to reconnect screen wire for several times .when it’s well connected , click Reset button.If still not working , you need to replace a screen. - If D1 indicator is always off and screen is full of white square, you need to replace a mainboard.

3. Temp Display: def Step 1 . Click Reset , check screen

Click Reset and check screen. The temp will turn to def in a second . As showed above , the extruder temp is -50.9 , means thermistor cannot detect temp.

Step 2 . Change wires of E_T , B_T port and click Reset , check screen

If Step 1 & 2 both shows abnormal extruder temp , you need to replace extruder thermistor; If Step 1 & 2 both shows abnormal hotbed temp, you need to replace hotbed thermistor; If Step 1 shows abnormal extruder temp while Step 2 shows abnormal hotbed temp , or Step 2 shows abnormal extruder temp while Step 1 shows abnormal hotbed temp, you need to replace mainboard.

4. Extruder Temp Doesn’t Rise Step 1 . Check Mainboard Step 2 . Check Extruder

a. Screen Operation Quick Settings → Preheat PLA The screen will show the extruder is preheating. b. If D5 indicator doesn’t light on , you need to replace mainboard .

c.If D5 indicator lights on , please check End port connection . If the connection is good , you need to replace extruder heating pipe.

5. Hotbed Temp Doesn’t Rise Step 1 . Check Screen Operation Step 2 . Check hotbed connection

a. Screen Operation Quick Settings → Preheat PLA

b. Check D4 indicator .If the it doesn’t light on , you need to replace a mainboard; if D4 indicator lights on , please check BED port connection . If no connection problem , you need to replace a hotbed.

6. Motor Issue Step 1 . Motor Test

Example: Before exchange , X Pos.Fast ,X motor is abnormal . Y Pos.Fast, Y motor is good. Change X, Y motor connection , X Pos.Fast, Y motor is abnormal. Y Pos.Fast, X motor is good. You need to replace a mainboard; or X Pos.Fast , Y motor is good. Y Pos.Fast, X motor is abnormal, you need to replace X motor.

7. Limited Switch Issue Step 1 . Limited Switch Test Example: X Limited Switch Testing

Before Exchange: Choose X Pos.Fast , test X Limited Switch: Abnormal; Choose Y Pos.Fast , test Y Limited Switch: Normal Y_Stop

X_Stop After Exchange: If Choose X Pos.Fast , test Y Limited Switch: Abnormal; Choose Y Pos.Fast , test X Limited Switch: Normal. You need to replace a mainboard. If Choose X Pos.Fast , test Y Limited Switch: Normal; Choose Y Pos.Fast , test X Limited Switch: Abnormal.You need to replace a limited switch. You can use same method to test other limited swtich.

8. SD Card Issue FAQ: No “Print file” Option When SD is correctly installed Step 1 . Test SD card if it can be recognized by PC and store files. Step 2 . Reinstall SD card for several times to ensure SD card is correctly installed.

If PC can’t recognize SD card , you need to replace a SD card;If PC can recognize SD card and you can store files in SD card, move to Step 2 . If there is still no “Print file” Option , you need to replace a mainboard.

If the SD card & Hotbed is good , there’ll be “Print file” Option

9. Online Printing Issue Please ensure the printer can use SD card to offline printing and all functions are OK. Question 1 : repetier fail to connect Step 1 . Check on PC if it can find CH340G

Check on PC if there is USB SERIAL . If not , please find the file in SD card and install it .

Question 2 : repetier connected , but fail to control the printer Step 1 . Confirm repetier is correctly set

It depends on CH340G code

Open repetier , open “Printing seting” , the correct setting is info above.

Step 2 . Open Toggle Log to check if there is any problem

Open the option below to record.

Check the info if it’s normal . If not , you need to replace a mainboard.

10. Extruder/Hotbed Temp Inconsistent Step 1 . Thermistor test

As showed in the picture , the extruder & hotbed temp should be consistent with indoor temp , but now the extruder temp is 175℃.

Step 2 . Change wires of E_T , B_T port and click Reset , check screen

If it shows abnormal extruder temp , you need to replace extruder thermistor; If it shows abnormal hotbed temp, you need to replace mainboard. (If the hotbed temp is abnormal, please do test refer to methods above)

11. Extruder / Hotbed Temp Keeps Rising After the Boot Question: The extruder / hotbed temp keeps rising after booting with no operation Step 1 . Extruder temp check

Check D5 indicator , if it’s on , D5

turn off the printer and restart , if D5 indicator is still on , you need to replace a mainboard.

Step 2 . Hotbed temp check

Check D4 indicator , if it’s on , turn off the printer and restart , if D4

D4 indicator is still on , you need to replace a mainboard.
