Gabe Loyd had nine tackles, eight of them solo and two of them for a loss. He was also credited with a quarterback hurry. Quinn Tiggs set a new career-high with nine tackles. His previous best was eight at Arkansas this season. Jeremy Miller recorded his first career sack. He finished the contest with two tackles for loss. Stanley Kanu and Dean Taylor combined for half a sack each. Special Teams Notes Brandon McDowell returned a kickoff 42 yards with 10 seconds left in the first half. Lumi Kaba punted six times for an average of 31.8 yards and a long of 41. Texas State blocked their seventh kick of the season on a PAT in the second quarter. Hal Vinson got his hand on the ball for his first career blocked kick. Season Notes First time in 34 games that Tyler Jones did not start at quarterback for the Bobcats.
