League Structure • CCL (Club Champions League) – 2 teams U9 and U10 (each gender) – 1 team per age group U11-U18/19

• NCSL (National Capital Soccer League) – 2 teams+ U9-U18 Boys

• WAGS (Washington Area Girls League) – 2 teams+ U9-U18 Girls

• ODSL (Old Dominion Soccer League) – 2 teams+ U9-U18 Boys and Girls

Policies/Structure The Club has policies and structure in place to help the families it serves: • Coach credentials/minimum standards • Coach/trainer salary structure • Club manages the coaches and makes coaching changes/rotations to maximize development • Parent Surveys • Official Escalation Policy

TA/GK/Striker Academy • Incorporated into the club fees - the Technical Training Academy and the Goalkeeper Academy for U9-U14 players • TA – rotation of coaches, curriculum, club atmosphere • GK Academy – Director John O’Hara • Striker Academy – Director Maurice Hughes

In-Season Time Commitment • Twice per week training with team (possible x3 per week • TA once a week (Wednesday) • GK Academy once a week • 1 game on the weekend (usually Sunday) • 2-4 tournaments per season (fall/spring – often holiday weekends)

Off Season Training The yearly training plan is arranged by the coach, which includes the following: • 8 Winter Club Training Sessions (included in registration fees) • Summer Team Training • Spring Break Training Programs • Summer Training Programs (Residential & Day Camps) • Winter Outdoor Training • Indoor League Play • Rest/Recovery 14

Annual Travel Fees Loudoun Soccer Club Fee (Elite - Red Team) $1750- $2415 per player (Coaching fee includes all coach salary, 10 winter team sessions, 10 summer team sessions, Pre-Season Team Summer camp, all facility fees) Loudoun Soccer Club Fee (Premier – Black Team) $1565 - $2265 per player (Coaching fee includes all coach salary, 10 winter team sessions, 10 summer team sessions, Pre-Season Team Summer camp, all facility fees) Loudoun Soccer Club Fee (Travel 1–White/Silver team)$1315-$1815 per player (Coaching fee includes all coach salary, facility fees) Loudoun Soccer Club Fee (Travel 2 – other color team)$915-$1415 per player (includes all trainer salary, facility fees) • • • •

Installment plans are available for payments (4 month/9 month) The player’s commitment is June 2014-May 2015; families are expected to participate in and pay for this year-round program. Additional Expenses Loudoun Soccer Fees DO NOT Include the following items (which should be included in a separate Team Fee collected by each team): • Tournament Costs • Coach Travel Costs • Uniform Expenses – teams pay for uniform costs directly and not through Club fees • Winter League/Futsal fees • Striker Academy (optional and individual)

Fundraising and Assistance Families and teams may off-set their expenses through the following options: • Fundraising – Money raised will often go toward team-related expenses

• Club Financial Assistance - $55K+ provided in 2013/14

Tryouts • Loudoun Soccer Coaching Staff oversee tryouts • Complete Pre-Tryout Information Sheet will be available online/on site • Families MUST pre-register for tryouts • Only HEAD COACHES, Loudoun Professional Technical Staff, or otherwise approved staff can be tryout evaluators • It is an open, competitive tryout for ALL players • Players are selected by ability to the Red, Black, White, & Silver teams 20

Academy Structure • Loudoun Soccer has an Academy Structure in place • Players will be placed by ability on Red (“A”), Black (“B”), White (“C”), & Silver (“D”) teams • Additional teams if player pool dictates • Blue/Green/Gray/Gold Teams

Structure of Tryout • • • •

15 minute group warm up – all players with ball 45 minutes – 3v3-5v5s 30 minutes – 6v6-7v7 (as space allows) Additional Tryouts if needed

Player Identification • What we look for in players: – Technical Ability – Speed – Character/Attitude – Awareness of opponents and team mates – Defend/Attack transition – Coachability – Work Ethic

Post - Tryouts • Coaches come to agreement on which players are selected to which team • ALL players must be notified within ONE WEEK of the final tryout • Red Coach contacts selected players first, then Black, then White, then Silver etc. (in phone/in person) • NO COACH is allowed to contact players before assigned coach has contacted them • EVERY player MUST be contacted

Post - Tryouts • All acceptances must receive call with formal offer • Formal Acceptance Letter will be sent out via email in addition to phone call • Formal Notification letter will be sent out via email for players from outside the Club or Rec program who do not make a team • All current Loudoun Travel players who are not offered a spot or moved “down” a level MUST receive a call
