Tube Guards BERGEN'S re-usable Tube Guards encase existing fluorescent tubes up to 1500 MA* to insulate and improve lighting efficiency at low temperatures. The high tensile strength of the polycarbonate protects people, equipment & products. All Bergen Tube Guards meet OSHA, FDA and USDA requirements. Each case of Tube Guards provides end caps which give a snug fit between lamp and sleeve, while the release channel allowes gases to escape. Tube Guards T-5 "Efficiency” continues to be the buzzword in the lighting industry, and as its use continues to grow, the lamps used to meet its demands continue to get smaller. The smaller-is-better trend has been particularly evident in the fluorescent lamp market as manufacturers have consistently decreased sizes since the days of the standard T12 lamp. The newest family of linear fluorescent lamps is the T5 line of lamps, with this also comes a demand for T5 TUBE GUARDS. Bergen manufactures a full line of T5 Tube Guards along with T12, T8, UV & Matrix. Colors include: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Smoke, Pink, Royal Blue and Amber.

Note: Bergen Industries does not recommend the use of tube guards on High Output lamps with conditions that include surface lamp temperature that can exceed 200 degrees F or in enclosed fixtures where normal venting is prohibited. T5 tubeguards are safe to use in conjunction with electronic high efficiency ballast designed to prevent overheating of the lamp during use & at "end of life". T5 tubeguards are NOT recommended for use with dimming systems or applications in which power surges or spikes can cause arcing or over-burning of lamps.
