Tuff-Tote Leather Tool Carriers The resulting top grain leather is the strongest most punctureresistant and beautiful leather used in the industry.
For Master Electricians who demand the very best, IDEAL delivers exceptional quality tool carriers, handcrafted from heavy weight full grain cowhide leathers. Number one grade full thickness cowhides are slow tanned in a natural ‘tea’ of tree bark to preserve the ‘raw’ hides. The preserved hides are tumbled and oils are added to make them more supple and flexible. The resulting natural full grain leather cowhides become our Standard leather.
For fifteen years, IDEAL Craftsmen have been building Tuff-Tote tool carriers and pouches to exacting standards, in our leather production facilities. This is where the heavy vegetable-tanned leathers are hand-crafted into the durable, functional leather Tuff-Totes that represent the state of the art in leather tool carriers.
The Premium Tan and Black leathers require extra drum dying to penetrate the leather fibers all the way through with pigment, then a wax coating is applied, to give it the glowing golden tan and rich black that distinguishes IDEAL Premium leather from any other.
