Tentative Schedule/Typical Day
West Chester Rustin Wrestling Room.
Summer Camp Duration Monday, June 12th—Friday, June 16th
Requirements K-8th Grade and show an interest in wrestling.
We believe in developing concrete fundamentals of the sport in a fun, yet productive way. Our goal is to create a safe environment where the boys can learn, compete and have fun all at the same time. We want the boys to have positive experiences with the sport, which will keep them coming back, and in turn, will teach them many of the great values associated with wrestling. This includes games like dodge ball and a pizza party for lunch at the end of the week! The coaching staff at Turks Head has numerous years of experience in the sport at the youth and high school level, and has coached multiple PJW & MAWA Eastern National place winners at the youth level. At the high school level, our staff has coached more than a dozen state medalists. We are excited about the opportunity to take your son to the next level!
8:45 - Arrive at Camp 9:00-9:15 - Warm-up 9:15-10:00 - Technique Session #1 10:00-10:45 - Technique Session #2 10:45-11:30 - Technique Session #3/Movement Drills/Mat awareness 11:30-12:00 - Lunch (Pack your own) 12:00-12:30 - Camp Games - Dodge ball! 12:30-1:15 - Technique Session #4/Review of technique learned during the day. 1:15-2:00 - Situational live wrestling of technique learned during the day. 2:00 - Pick Up
