Youth Confirmation Classes begin Sunday, September 10, at 10:45am. It is very important that students be present as this first class includes acolyte training. We will meet in church at 10:45am. The Board of Parish Education is looking for a volunteer to be Co-Chair/leader of the Youth Group as of the beginning of Sunday School, Sept. 10th. You would be working with Christine Lovitz. Please contact Pastor O., Christine Lovitz or Marlene Bartholomew if you wish to volunteer as soon as possible or see either of us after church today. You may contact me at 548-5900 and Pastor at 464-2810.
Circle is meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 5th in the Parish Hall at noon. Lots to discuss as we return from the summer break. All ladies are so very welcome as we strive to support our church family, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (Mites will be Collected at this meeting), our seminary student, and fellowship with each other. The Circle is planning on a "Road Trip" on Tuesday, Sept. 12 to Shipshewana. Please see and sign up (asap) from the postings on the Bulletin Board. This adventure can be enjoyed by others, just let us know that you are interested. For those going to the play, or on a tour, please note that tickets need to be reserved ASAP. See Connie Bailey ir Melodee Kalinke. Volunteers needed from 8am to 12 noon to meet, greet, and hand out water to those attending the Popcorn Parade and Festival on Sept. 9th. We don’t expect the volunteers to stay all 4 hours, please just pick a time and join us. The sign-up sheet is posted in the fellowship hall. Food Pantry for August goes to Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry. They are in need of instant potatoes, cereal and pudding. If you need to take your child out during the worship service, there is a nursery available to our members and guests. A closed-circuit TV will broadcast our worship service. An usher can direct you to our nursery. We are looking for some greeters for October and November All are welcome to greet. You just need to arrive by 8:45, put on the greeter badge, smile and say hello. We ask that you stay by the door until 9:05 to say hello to anyone running late. Please sign-up at the outreach bulletin board in the parish hall.
