Twisted Star Ornament Student Supply List We will meet on: Thursday, September 8, 2016 Time: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm Cost: $ 35 .00 plus pattern Instructor/Facilitator: Jody Beck 602-228-1364 cell (msgs) OR 610-326-6929 home (no msgs) PATTERN REQUIRED: Twisted Star Ornament by Jody’s Jems #TTT128
Materials Needed: 9 ½” Star: (2) 3 ½” x 25” contrasting fabrics Heat N Bond Ultra Hold OR other heavyweight fusible web 6” ribbon for hanging 3/8” wide ribbon (6”) for a cutting gauge Glue Gun - low temp 1 Small binding clip (paper clip) OR Small Wonder Clip Sharp point scissors or fabric shears Paper scissors for practicing Sewing/serger tweezers or any tweezers Applique Pressing Sheet Feel free to bring more fabrics and fusible plus mat, cutter, & ruler to make more. Before the class: Fuse the 2 contrasting fabrics together, wrong sides together, with Heat N Bond Ultra Hold or other heavyweight fusible web following manufacturer’s instructions. The fusible is very thin, not a fusible batting. Cut into (7) 3 ½” squares. Bring 7 fused squares and above supplies to workshop. Feel free to bring more sets of 7 fused squares in 2 ½” x 2 ½” size and 3” x 3” size to make more after finishing the 1st ornament with 3 ½” size.
This is a Fragrance Free Class Many people have allergies to scents. Please be considerate of your classmates and teacher by not using perfumes, scented body lotions and scented hair sprays.
