TxDOT Green Ribbon Project
The freeway corridors of IH-10, IH-610, IH-45 and US-59 within Beltway 8 are the focus on this project. Working with TxDOT and citizens committees, the design team hopes to promote and enhance safety, respond to maintenance and environmental concerns by developing sustainable landscape concepts, and allow implementation and maintenance to occur through public/private partnerships. Innovative design solutions are among the goals, with public art being envisioned as a major component of earthforms, ponds, walls, bridges, rails, signs and lighting.
