Men’s Retreat Speaker – Tyler Kirby Hickory Knob State Park (March 24-26)
Tyler spent many years after high school caught up in the bar / drug scene, searching for something to make him happy. In October of 1989, a friend shared Christ with him and not long after that he gave his messed up life to Christ. That was a life altering decision and he's never gotten over the fact that Jesus Christ rescued him! About 5 years after surrendering his life to Christ, he was called to become a pastor. He served on staff at a large church in Spartanburg then God opened a door for him to become the pastor at View Church. He has served as the Lead Pastor here for over 13 years. His desire for people to come to know Christ and grow in a relationship with Him, comes through in his preaching. He has led the church through much growth and many changes over the last 13 years. He has an incredible wife of 26 years, Kay, and 4 wonderful children - Brock (22) Goldie (20) Andrew (14) John Tyler (12). Tyler enjoys going on dates with his bride, spending time with his family, watching UFC and riding
