The University of British Columbia combines premier sporting facilities with the convenience of a single location for all athletic and community recreation.
Student Recreation Centre
Located on the picturesque Pont Grey campus, UBC is ready to host your sporting event, conference, training camp, concert or Saturday afternoon pick-up game.
Gymnasium can be divided into three 57’ x 100’ courts
18,000 square feet of space in upper gymnasium
Accommodates 3-6 volleyball courts or 4 championship courts, three basketball courts, 12 badminton courts, or three indoor soccer courts
Aquatic Centre
Facility also features locker rooms with showers
Indoor pool holds eight 50-metre or eight 25-metre lanes
Main level houses a full-service fitness and weight room facility
5-metre diving platform as well as 1- and 3-metre diving boards
Main level also features a 2,300 square-foot dance studio with stretching bars and 1,600 square-foot martial arts dojo with matted floor. Both spaces have mirrored walls.
15 x 50 metre open-air swimming pool, featuring a diving tower for 5- and 10-metre events Seating for 1,500 spectators indoors and 1,000 outdoors War Memorial Gymnasium 15,040 square feet of floor space
UBC Conference Centre
Permanent bleacher seating for over 2,200 spectators, with retractable bleachers for an additional 600 spectators
Student Union Mall
Used for a variety of sports, such as Basketball, Volleyball, Wheelchair Basketball and Gymnastics
Student Union Boulevard
Features competition ready basketball and volleyball courts
Two competition and four practice basketball hoops, all with clear backboards
Student Union Building (SUB) MacInnes Field
Full-service dressing rooms and showers available Amenities include a public address system with wireless microphones 3,000 square-foot lobby, ideal for refreshments, exhibits, etc
