Emergency Kits for Family Members ‘Ultimate’ Family Equipment Checklist Directions: Keep all the equipment in one central location for you to grab along with your individual backpacks. Store these items in a large duffle bag or crate to make it easier to transport. This list is considered the “ultimate” Family Equipment kit. You do NOT need to have every item. Adapt the list to your family’s individual needs and what makes sense. Gather all you can around the house first. Then make a shopping list of items still needed to complete your Family Equipment kit. Watch for sales on the remaining equipment items so you don’t break your budget. If you have any family members with special needs and special equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers, braces, etc. make sure to add these items to your family’s equipment list.
