The uNITAS collaboration Oneness, unity, concord Parents and Carers Code of Conduct At Minterne CJ School we are very fortunate to have supportive and very friendly parents. Our parents recognise that educating their children is a process that is highly effective when the partnership between home and school both understand the importance of a good working relationship. We have always welcomed and encouraged parents/carers to participate fully in the life of our school. The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to provide a framework to all parents and visitors to our school about the expected conduct so that we can work together to ensure a safe and positive environment for our children. By admitting your child to our school you are agreeing to the principles within this code of conduct. We expect parents and carers to show respect and concern for others by:
Supporting the respectful ethos of our school by setting a good example in their own speech and behaviour towards all members of the school community. Working together with teachers for the benefit of children. This includes approaching the school to resolve any issues of concern and to discuss and clarify specific events in order to bring about a positive solution. Respecting the school environment, including keeping the school tidy by not littering and returning equipment that has been borrowed. Delivering and collecting the children in a safe and orderly manner. By not engaging in hurtful and harmful gossip but instead work with the Head Teacher Head of School, Staff and Governors to resolve any key issues and concerns.
In order to support a peaceful and safe school environment, the school will not tolerate:
Disruptive behaviour, which interferes with the operation of the classroom, office area, the outside learning environment or another partany part of the school grounds. Use ofing loud and/ or offensive language or displaying temper Threatening harm or the use of physical aggression towards another adult or child. This includes someone else’s child in order to discuss any issue or chastise them. Abusive or threatening emails, phone or social network messages. Smoking and consumption of alcohol or other drugs or accessing the school whilst intoxicated. Not allowing dogs on the premises, unless with specific permission on each occasion.
All of the above behaviours on school premises will be reported to the appropriate authorities, including the police where necessary. Governors do have the authority to ban adults from the school grounds to ensure the safety and well-being of our children. At Minterne CJ School we trust that Parents and Carers will assist our school with the implementation of this Code of Conduct and as always I thank you for your continuing support.
