URC2 UHF reader Upgradable reader - 1 or 2 antenna(s) Long range identification
Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) STid presents the first modular UHF EPC1 Gen2 reader (ISO18000-63), offering both performances and simplicity. It is well suited for a wide range of vehicle identification: moving vehicle access control, fleet management, weighing, tracking…
High performances and reliability
Easy installation
The URC2 offers an unmatched performance-to-price ratio.

reader fits the requirements of main vehicle access control applications: 1 lane identification of heterogeneous vehicles (car, truck, motorcycle…) - figures 1a & 1b, or 2 lanes identification (free-flow) - figure 2.
For more security and user comfort, a wide range of services and options is available: windscreen mounting kit for TeleTag®, serigraphy, sequential or physical printing, self-destructible label…

Easy integration and deployment
The URC2 is immediately compatible with existing access control systems, using standard communication interfaces: TTL (Wiegand & Data/Clock), RS232 and RS485.
Example of configurations with 1 URC2: reader + 1 external antenna + STid passive tags Typical distances: 5-7 m*
*Caution:
information about the distance of communication: measured from the centre of the antenna, depending on the type of identifier, size of the identifier, operating environment of the reader, power supply voltage. RFID tag performance is influenced by its position on the windscreen, and depends on the windscreen type. The heat-reflective (or climate comfort) windscreens have a metallic film that blocks radio waves. Performances can be impaired. Use the non-treated area of the windscreen.
