BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global governing body for cricket. This new role of “USA Project Officer,” will be based in newly created offices in Colorado Springs, CO. This is an exciting opportunity to assist the growth of cricket in the USA. The USA Project Officer will support the ICC’s USA Project Manager and the USA cricket community to deliver a recently agreed strategic framework for USA cricket. He or she will be part of a small project team that forms part of the ICC Americas Development Program. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Support the USA Project Manager, in cooperation with the USA cricket community, to implement the USA cricket strategic framework which aims to “establish cricket as a leading sport in the USA for females and males”. The strategic framework includes four pillars – (i) participation, (ii) performance, (iii) fan and market development and (iv) a sustainable foundation Support the four National Advisory Groups for cricket in the USA, with particular focus on fan and market development Build and maintain positive relationships with the USA cricket community and other US sports

QUALIFICATIONS:         

Minimum of 5 years’ sports management experience with a strong understanding of the game of cricket A self-starter with high energy levels and a passion for achieving success Experience working in multicultural environments and building relationships with stakeholders from different backgrounds Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work to deadlines Communications and digital media experience Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills at all levels A team player with a flexible approach Knowledge of the US sports environment Experience working with volunteers

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT  

The position reports to USA Project Manager based in Colorado Springs Some travel required. Amount to be determined.
