Using Cerasus Image The Cerasus Image application for Luminant Viper allows authenticated users to take photos of inventory items and upload them to be used in the Master Item Catalog. Note: The arrow keys are not active in Cerasus Image. Tap the screen to move from one field to the next. Use BACK or LOGOUT to return to previous screens; clicking OK will close the application.
Adding an Image Enter User ID, Password, and Site ID (Figure 1). Click LOGON. Enter an Item# manually or scan a barcode and tap REFRESH. Any images already associated with that Item# will be displayed (Figure 2). To add an image, click NEXT at the bottom of the screen. The live camera screen appears, with the message Start Capture (Figure 3). When you click Start Capture, the timeout is activated, and the message Take Picture appears on the button.

Click Take Picture when you are ready (Figure 4), or the picture will automatically be taken when the allotted time is up. When capture is complete, click UPLOAD to save the picture in the database and associate it with the Item#. Important: Keep the camera as still as possible after clicking Take Picture; the capture is not complete until Start Capture appears again on the button.
A window showing “File Transfer Complete” will appear (Figure 5) when the photo has been successfully uploaded to the database. Click Back to return to the Item # screen, enter the Item#, and click REFRESH. The photo should now show below the Item# (Figure 6).
