Welcome to the AeroView Uploader. This program allows for the easy retrieval of data from your drone and GoPro camera system, as well as the easy transmission of this data to us.
1. Installing the Program Windows 1.1.

Click here to download for Windows. If a box pops up asking where to save the file, choose ‘Desktop’. You can then proceed to step 1.7. If it does not, it will download to your ‘Downloads’ folder, then continue with 1.2 below. Open your ‘Downloads’ folder by:
1.2.1. Windows 8 or 10 – Click the icon in the bottom left of the screen, then click ‘File Explorer’. Then click ‘Downloads’ on the left. 1.2.2. Windows 7 or lower – Double click ‘My Computer’ on the Desktop, then click ‘Downloads’ on the left. 1.3. Right click the AeroView Uploader Install File you just downloaded. Select ‘Copy’. 1.4. Exit the Downloads folder. 1.5. Return to the Desktop. 1.6. Right click anywhere on the Desktop and select ‘Paste’. 1.7. Right click the AeroView Uploader Install File and select ‘Extract All’. This will put a new folder on the Desktop, with the name – AeroView Uploader. 1.8. Delete the AeroView Installer File by right clicking on it, and selecting ‘Delete’. 1.9. Open the AeroView Uploader folder. 1.10. Double click the file titled ‘px4driver’. 1.11. Follow the on-screen instructions by clicking ‘Next’. 1.12. Complete the installation and click ‘Finish’. 1.13. Once complete, right click on ‘px4driver’ and click ‘Delete’. 1.14. The installation is now complete. 1.15. Please do NOT delete the AeroView Uploader folder, as this will result in the loss of saved data, as well as the program itself.
Mac Click here to download for Mac. This will download a file to your Downloads folder. Open your Downloads folder (located next to the trash icon on your dock bar). Click ‘Open in Finder’. Double click the AeroView.dmg file. Drag the ‘AeroView Uploader’ to the Applications folder. The program is now installed. Close the AeroView Uploader window. You can delete the AeroView.dmg file.
2. Using the Program Windows 2.1.
To run the program, double click the AeroView Uploader folder on your Desktop, then double click the AeroView Uploader within the folder. It will have this icon:

Either click ‘Launchpad’ on the dock, or navigate to the applications folder, and click on ’AeroView Uploader’ You will now see a screen which looks like this:
3. Downloading Drone Data 3.1. Click the ‘Drone Download’ button. This will prompt you to connect the drone. 3.1.1. Connect the drone to the computer by connecting the small end of the cable into the port on the drone, as shown in the images below:
3.1.2. Then connect the other end of the cable into the USB port on your computer.
3.1.3. Once both ends are connected, wait for the main light to finish a series of blue/red flashes. Once these flashes have finished, you can continue by clicking ‘OK’.

There may be a slight pause as the program connects to the drone and begins the download. A box will pop up to display the progress of the download. Please note that the download can take some time, and the ‘Estimated time left’ indicator may take some time to begin showing an accurate estimation. Once the download has completed, you can click ‘OK’. You can now disconnect the drone.
4. Downloading Images 4.1.
Remove the memory cards from both GoPro cameras by following the instructions below:
4.1.1. Locate the GoPro housing within your Fixed Wing Drone or Quadcopter. Identify the memory card slot. (For Fixed Wing drones you may have to tilt the inner housing slightly to reveal the memory card slot).
4.1.2. Use your fingernail to press against the memory card slot.
4.1.3. A small ‘click’ should be felt and the card will pop out a bit.
4.1.4. Remove the memory card.
4.2.
Insert the memory cards into the memory card readers supplied, colour side up.
4.3.
If you have two USB ports, plug in both memory card readers. If you only have one, plug in one of the memory card readers.

Click ‘Image Download’. If both memory card readers are inserted, the images will begin downloading immediately. 4.6. If only one memory card reader is inserted, you will be asked whether you want to continue, click ‘Yes’. 4.6.1. The images will be downloaded, and you will be prompted whether you want to download images from a second memory card. If you have a second memory card, click ‘Yes’. 4.6.2. A new prompt will ask you to remove the first memory card reader, and insert the second one. Once you have done so, you can click ‘OK’. 4.6.3. The images from the second memory card will download. 4.7. Once the downloads are complete, a prompt will display, informing you that the download is complete. Click ‘OK’. 4.8. Insert memory cards back into the GoPros in the same manner as they were removed. Ensure that the memory cards are inserted face down, and that a small ‘click’ is felt when pushing them back in.
5. Uploading Your Data

You can upload your data now, or at a later time. If you want to do it at a later time, you can exit the program. The next time you start it up, simply click ‘Upload Data’, and any previous data which has not yet been uploaded will be uploaded. Click ‘Upload Data’ to begin the upload process. You will be prompted for your AeroView username and password. Once entered correctly, the data will begin uploading. Please note that this process may take very long, depending on your internet connection, so it is best to let it run overnight. The upload progress box will show you the estimated time remaining. Please note that it may take a while at first to generate an accurate estimate. If the upload completes successfully, an ‘Upload Complete’ box will appear. You can click ‘OK’ and then close the program. If you see a box saying ‘Upload Failed’, then this is likely due to your internet cutting out at some point. Simply click ‘OK’, and then click the ‘Upload Data’ button again. Any data that was not uploaded will now begin uploading.
