USTA ARKANSAS DIRECTOR OF MARKETING and MEMBERSHIP GROWTH JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the marketing and promotion of all USTA Leagues, programs and events for the USTA Arkansas District. Oversee the planning and implementation of strategies for the growth and participation of all areas of the sport statewide. Serve as a resource for volunteers and staff alike to promote grass roots programing within communities and CTAs. Plan and manage current USTA Arkansas events and tournaments, as well as seek out and create new opportunities for promotion and play. Oversee and direct all multimedia and communication outlets for the organization. Work in partnership with both Sectional and National partners to reach the strategic goals of the state. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree preferred but not required Strong organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Thorough understanding of USTA Programming Computer skills with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Photoshop and Publisher Familiarity with Website content management Tennis background preferable RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct all aspects of Marketing and Promotion for USTA AR programs and events Establish and maintain relationships with media throughout the state Develop marketing strategies and a marketing plan for USTA Arkansas Assist staff, Community Tennis Associations and other organizations with their promotional needs Website maintenance. Ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date. Manage all Social Media, News Sources, Databases, E-blasts and USTA AR Promotional Material Serve as the staff liaison for the USTA AR Marketing Committee Adhere to USTA Arkansas’s Code of Conduct, policies and procedures Identify opportunities and recommend ways to promote tennis, improve service and use resources efficiently Support co-workers and help foster teamwork throughout the organization Coordinates Tennis Apprentice, Casual Sets and 8U Grand Slam Tournament Tour Other duties as assigned OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Attend the USTA Arkansas, Southern and National Meetings when applicable Travel across Arkansas as necessary for meetings and events Work weekend League tournaments as assigned Reports to the USTA Arkansas Executive Director Salary includes benefit package To apply for this position, please send resume and cover letter to Deanna Garretson, USTA Executive Director, [email protected]
