NOTICE: This year’s event will be held on the weekend of 4 and 5 March, 2017 at Gormanston College, Gormanston, Co. Meath. All players and coaches must be registered with the VAI to take part in the Championships. All players and coaches will be required to produce their registration cards for each match. Your club must be affiliated with the VAI for its teams to compete in the Championships. New clubs may affiliate as associate affiliates to the VAI; to do so, please complete the “Associate Club Affiliation Form”, available at: VAI Associate Club Affiliation Form. New players and coaches can register for a Championship team by completing the “NonLeague Player Registration Form”, available at: VAI Non-League Player Registration Form. Registrations can only be processed if accompanied by relevant signature(s), full payment and passport photo (electronic format accepted). Per Section 10 of the Competition Rules, each team you enter must be accompanied by a team list (above) of registered players and licence numbers that will remain registered with that team for the duration of the Championships. Additional players may be added to the team list by request from the Club Secretary to the VAI Office in writing (by email) by close of business on 28 February. It is responsibility of the individual club to ensure that each team list is up to date – this will be checked at the event. The final format of the competition is at the discretion of the Competitions Commission. The venue is accessible by car off the M1 motorway (exit 6), more details available at: Gormanston College contact details & directions . There is an alternative route via exit 7 of the M1, following signs to Gormanston/Stamullen and turning right at Gibneys pub towards Stamullen. Venue will be on your right after 650m. Depending on costs and interest, the VAI may organise a bus from Dublin city centre to the venue. This would run once a day to the venue in the morning and back at the end of the day and the cost would be borne by those travelling on the bus. Please indicate your interest on the form and the number of people who would travel on the bus from your club/team. The venue is also accessible by Bus Eireann bus (route 101 – approximately 1 hr 20 minutes from Dublin city centre – bus stop: Old Huntsman Inn and then a 10 minute walk) and by mainland train from Dublin Connolly (Gormanston College is located 2km from the train station via back roads so caution advised).
