Varsity Fall Development LEAGUE
4 TEAMS—4 WEEKS OF PLAY x 2 GAMES EACH DAY = 56 INNINGS OF DEVELOPMENT GAME DATES & PROTOCOL
• Each team will play a doubleheader on each of the following SUNDAYS:
Aug. 28, Sept. 4, 11, 18
• Cost to participate in the Fall League is $175. (checks payable to UWSP Baseball Camps) • Doubleheaders will be at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. • All games are seven innings in length with a 110-minute time limit/game. • If games are lost due to inclement weather, they will be made up on Sunday, Sept. 25. • If multiple dates are lost to the weather, adjustments to the schedule will be made accordingly or vouchers will be given for reducedcost attendance at a 2015-16 Pointers Camp. • There will be NO REFUNDS given for player absences or for games lost due to inclement weather. • There will be no reductions in cost based upon availability. As a courtesy, please communicate notice of one’s absence prior to game day.
About the Fall League
The UW-Stevens Point Fall Development League was initiated in 2008 as a means of providing increased developmental and competitive baseball opportunities for middle school and high school student-athletes in Central Wisconsin. Started as a four-week season consisting of players from a small representation of schools, the league has grown in popularity as fall baseball has become a more normative competitive experience for high school student-athletes. Our goal is to improve each player’s skill set, game knowledge, competitive toughness, and character through participation in the league. Please read the instructions and protocol that we have developed to maintain consistency and fair selection for players into the league. Upon registration, you will receive a game schedule & playing rules. Upon registration of your son (including full payment), you will receive a game schedule and playing rules for the league within two weeks of the start of play.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
Criteria for Participation
TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE VARSITY FALL LEAGUE, PLAYERS MUST EITHER BE ENTERING SENIORS OR HAVE EARNED AT LEAST ONE VARSITY LETTER IN BASEBALL. 1. FULL PAYMENT & REGISTRATION FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE A SPOT IS GUARANTEED IN THE LEAGUE. 2. Priority will be given to past participants in the league. 3. Other newcomers to the league will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis (registration is confirmed once all requisite forms & fees are received by Jeremy Jirschele). 4. Once the league reaches capacity, registrants will automatically be placed in the High School League on Saturdays. 5. If your son is in grades 10-11 but has fall sport obligations that prohibit him from playing on Saturdays, then consideration will be made on whether to place him in the Sunday league. Please understand that the league is designated for varsity-level competition based on the age and varsity experience of the participants. 6. Health and insurance forms must be submitted prior to the first game date for your son to participate. These forms can be found and printed at athletics.uwsp.edu/camps/healthforms
In the case of inclement weather, an email will be sent to a distribution list consisting of each player within the Fall League. Every attempt will be made to provide enough notice to ensure that traveling parties will be notified prior to departure. While it is impossible to predict the weather with exact certainty, we will do our best to be proactive regarding our correspondence.

We will have fresh water, ice, and a medical kit present at all times. Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the day, including between games. Members of our coaching staff as well as several UWSP players will be on hand for every game.
