JV/Varsity Girls’ Basketball Shootout Tuesday & Wednesday June 27 & 28 1. Each team to play three games per day. 2. Game times will begin at 8:00 a.m. and run every 45 minutes. 3. The games will be played at Millington High School, Kirk Elementary School, and the Meachum Building. 4. Registered high school officials working on each court. RULES: 1. Two 16-minutes halves with running clock. 2. 1st Half – the clock will stop in the last 15 seconds. 3. 2nd Half – the clock will stop in the last minute. 4. One timeout per half, with a three-minute halftime break. 5. If a game ends in a tie, it will stay a tie. 6. Non-shooting fouls = ball out of bounds until the 6th foul, after the 6th foul then shoot 1-and-1 free throws. 7. Shooting fouls = two free throws. 8. In last minute of 2nd half, all non-shooting fouls are 1-and-1 free throws. 9. All other high school rules apply. Cost: $250 per team. If you bring both a varsity and a JV team the total is $450. Write checks to Millington Community Schools. Teams will be added as payments arrive. This is a popular shootout so get those payments in early.
