Venus Lou Oglesby Venus Lou Oglesby, was born on July 17, 1939 to the late Halie B. Webster and Carrie Haney Brown. She peacefully transitioned on February 20, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Venus was preceded in death in addition to her parents by; her brothers, Robert Webster, Halie Webster, Jr., Charlie Brown, Floyd Brown, Jr., Joe Louis Brown and Ben Webster; her sisters, Betty Ann Rouse, Mittie Smith and Gertrude Davis; her grandparents, President Haney, Sr. and Venus Fowler Haney. Venus leaves to cherish loving and fond memories to; her son, Herman Oglesby of Gaffney, SC; her daughters; Saundra Oglesby White( Cornwell) of Boiling Springs, NC, Melissa Oglesby of Augusta, GA and Angela Oglesby of Gaffney, SC; brothers, Emanuel Brown (Kathalyn) of Greenwood, SC, Sammy Brown of Landover, MD, Bobby Webster (Janice) of Pacolet, SC, Mark Webster of Gaffney, SC, Frank Webster (Mary) of Gaffney, SC, and Rev. Mills McHam; sisters, Hazel Allen( the late J.T.) of Gaffney, SC and Pauline Wilkins; four grandchildren reared in the home, Takegla Oglesby, Makyiah White, Shakira Oglesby and Keonna Oglesby; four additional grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; an adopted son, Greg Gladney; an aunt, Manazerine Foster of Gaffney, SC ; special cousins, Selena Haney and David Haney; a special family friend, Caroline Fernanders; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
