is the Senior Adult Program at Spring Hill Baptist Church.

At Christmas December 1-4, 2016

The program includes seminars, day trips, game days, luncheons and longer trips. It was developed for adults 55+, but all ages are welcome to participate. The M.A.G.I.C. office is located in the Education Office .

Christmas

Brief Itinerary On Thursday morning, December 1, we will leave SHBC at 7:00 a.m. after a continental breakfast . Lunch will be in Vicksburg at Goldie’s, Check it out in the nook Real BBQ ,in past Southern Living Magazine and Southern Magazine. After lunch we will tour the Southern Heritage Air Foundation Museum, Coco Cola Museum (where first Coco Cola was bottled in 1894) and more. Dinner will be at Rowdy’s, whose specialty is catfish. The Hampton Inn will be the hotel for our time in Vicksburg. After breakfast in the hotel on Friday, we will have a step-on guide for a tour of the city and the Old Court House Museum. After lunch at KJ’s Riverside Grill, we will tour the Lower Mississippi Museum, the Old Depot Museum, the Riverfront Murals, etc. Then time will be available for shopping and the antique galleries. Dinner will be at Rusty’s Riverfront Grill.

Traveling on a chartered motor coach, we will go to Vicksburg, MS in time to see their Christmas Parade, Holy Market, the National Battlefield, the Ironclad, Grant’s Canal, mansions decorated for Christmas, and enjoy some delicious meals. Most of Vicksburg’ antebellum and late 19th century buildings are downtown. We will have a step-on guide for most of our sight seeing and touring of this city “which was of such strategic importance during the Civil War that the city was called the Gilbraltar of the Confederacy.”

Saturday is a big day for us in Vicksburg. We will see a documentary file at the Battlefield and then have a step-on guide for the tour of the Battlefield, Ironclad and The National Cemetery. Lunch will be on your own (but with money given to you). The Main Street Holly Days Market is the place to be on Saturday afternoon. Then get a good location to watch the Christmas Parade of Lights. Dinner will be at 10 South on the 32nd floor overlooking the mighty Mississippi River at night. After breakfast on Sunday, we will load the bus, have our worship service, and tour Auchuca Historic Mansion. Our lunch will be at Cedar Grove Mansion Inn & Restaurant. Then we will head back to Mobile.

Cost: The cost includes all lodging, meals, tours, tickets, gratuities and transportation and is $498.00 per person double occupancy. Single supplement is $223.00.

Reservations Make your reservations by bringing your $200.00 deposit to the Education Office Before November to hold motel room. Trip must be completely paid for by Sunday, November 27.
