he Viking Golf Classic returns to Langdon Farms Golf Club on Monday, June 25, 2012. In the 17 years since its opening, Langdon Farms has won rave reviews from both local and national golf publications. Golf Digest gave it four stars in its Best Places to Play 2009, and the Business Journal consistently ranks it the best course in Oregon to hold a tournament or corporate event. Just as impressive are the Portland State women’s athletic programs that the Viking Golf Classic benefits. PSU women’s athletics have enjoyed great success at the Division I level, winning 19 conference championships and making numerous NCAA tournament appearances.

Not only do our women student athletes excel in their sports, they also excel in the classroom. The combined GPA for all women’s sports during the 2010-2011 academic year was 3.1, and 39 student athletes were named to the All Big Sky Academic Team. As you can see, there’s a lot to be excited about! Please join us at the Viking Golf Classic for a day filled with golf, food, fun, and prizes as we continue to support the success of Portland State women’s athletics. Go Viks!
