your next mission:

VIVE LA POUTINE

No longer just a quaint dish from Quebec, poutine is now quintessentially Canadian. So much so that Toronto is devoting the first week of February to french fries covered with cheese curds and gravy with La Poutine Week. Your mission this week is to share your dream poutine. Whether it’s traditional or with a twist — using smoked meats, fried pickles, seaweed, maple syrup or fancy cheese — show us your favourite way to top fries with gooey goodness.

Mission Inspiration

This poutine’s got claws! For Gastroposter Trinh Truong, the additional ingredient that puts her french fries fusion dish over the top is lobster. “It’s the best poutine ever,” Trinh says about this cheese curd and crustacean combination she had at Toronto’s Lobster Monster. “Very yummy. We will be back for sure!”
