• Industrial roundwood comprises logs and pulpwood from commercial roundwood removals. The gross stumpage value of these is based on the stumpage prices for standing sales. Fuelwood comprises roundwood and forest residues, and forest chips include the amount of domestic chips used in heating and power plants. The data on wild berries and mushrooms relates to the activities of companies trading in these. The amount and value of berry and mushroom picking for personal use and direct and outdoor market sales are many times greater, but these are not included in the figures. • Unit t means metric ton. • Source: Natural Resources Institute Finland; Statistics Finland; Finnish Customs; Agency for Rural Affairs; Christmas Tree Producers' Association; Reindeer Herders' Association.
