Join us as we lead young disciples of Jesus in the search for the keys that open the treasures of our Catholic Church!
When and where: July 17-20, 2017, 9 a.m. – noon at Assumption BVM Parish, Bethlehem (VBS Team volunteer hours are 8:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.) Eligibility: youth volunteers should be youth who are rising 6th graders or older who are: able to serve all hours of all four days of VBS able to attend ONE mandatory TRAINING SESSION (2 options) training sessions prepare youth to work as a team with all VBS volunteers, be good Christian leaders of younger children, include all children, and keep them safe Training meeting options (choose 1): o June 26, 10:00 -11:30 a.m. o July 10, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. able to attend at least 2 of 4 PREPARATION MEETINGS (better to attend all!) preparation sessions include making decorations, practicing skits, becoming familiar with games, crafts and activities to help youth become engaged VBS leaders Preparation meeting options (choose 2): o June 5 3:30 – 4:30 p.m o June 21:10:00 - 11:30 a.m. o June 6: 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. o July 11:10:00 - 11:30 a.m. able to attend the mandatory Organizational Meeting: July 12, 10 – 11:30 a.m. SAVE THE DATE: Team Picnic, July 19, 5:30 – 8 p.m. Eligibility: adult volunteers (18+): More to come! required by the the Must complete all child protection forms and workshops and details have all clearances Diocese of Allentown on file at Assumption Parish or St. Michael School Please attend as many prep meetings as possible, 1 training session & the organizational meeting.
