DUCKS SELECTED TO THE BIG DANCE For the first time in 10 years, Oregon has been selected to the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Championship. The Ducks earned the No. 3 seed in the Athens, Ga., regional, where all matches will be played at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex at the University of Georgia. UO will meet second-seeded North Carolina State (17-9) in the first round on Saturday, May 10, at 7 a.m. (PT).

The Ducks previously advanced to NCAA competition in 2004, 2000 and 1998. UO is in pursuit of its first-ever victory at the NCAA Championship. A timeline of UO’s top achievements is listed below.

• April 29: UO earns first NCAA Championship bid since 2004. • April 24: Oregon stuns third-seeded Stanford for the second time in program history and reaches the Pac-12 Championship semifinals for the very first time. • April 23: Ducks down UW for the second time this season, collect first win at Pac-12 Championship in program history. • April 5: Robin Cambier wins twice and UO defeats Arizona, 4-1, on senior day. • March 28: Cambier defeats nation’s third-ranked player in three-set thriller. • March 26: UO improves to 14-1, tying its best start in the past 20 years. • March 26: Schyllander reaches the 100-win plateau with UO men’s team. • March 16: Ducks ranked No. 24 - their first-ever top 25 ranking. • March 12: UO snaps Drake’s 37-match home win streak with 4-0 sweep. • March 9: Cambier becomes UO’s all-time winningest singles player. • March 2: UO defeats #15 Boise State, the highest ranked foe UO has ever beat. • Feb. 28: Ducks defeat the Huskies for the first time since 2004. • Jan. 17: Oregon opens the spring season ranked No. 52 in the nation.

DUCKS IMPROVE IN RANKINGS Oregon improved five spots to No. 44 in the latest ITA national rankings, released last Tuesday. The doubles tandem of Robin Cambier and Kevin Farin improved to No. 44 in the doubles rankings. Cambier remained ranked nationally in singles, checking in at No. 72 this week. UO’S TOP DOUBLES TEAM CLIMBING CHARTS Robin Cambier and Kevin Farin have tallied 24 doubles wins this season, which ranks second-most in Oregon history. The Belgium natives are 24-7 overall with a 16-6 record at the No. 1 doubles position. AMOS, CAMBIER CLIMB SINGLES WIN CHARTS With singles victories against Stanford, Cambier and freshman Jayson Amos each collected their 23rd win of the season. That mark ranks tied for fourth in program history. Cambier is 23-10 overall with a 14-8 record this spring. Amos is 23-5 overall with a team-best 19-3 record in dual matches. DOUBLES DOMINANCE Oregon won the doubles point in 19-of-26 matches this season, and is 16-3 when doing so. UO has a combined doubles record of 45-20 (.740) this spring. Cambier and Farin lead Oregon with a 24-7 record. Junior Daniel Sardu and freshman Jayson Amos are 16-10 in No. 3 doubles. Sophomore Daan Maasland and junior Joey Swaysland are 12-5 in No. 2 doubles. BREAKING ALL THE RECORDS With a 23-10 overall record this season, senior Robin Cambier now has four of the top 10 singles seasons in UO history. Cambier is UO’s winningest doubles player with 92 wins and is also the top singles player in program history with 90 wins. The Brussels, Belgium, native holds seven major program records. • Career singles wins: 90 • Career doubles wins: 92 • Career singles & doubles wins: 182 • Season doubles wins: 29, with Jeff Mullen • Career doubles wins by a team: 57, with Jeff Mullen. • Consecutive singles wins: 15 • Consecutive doubles wins: 14, with Jeff Mullen. SCOUTING THE ATHENS REGIONAL • #1 GEORGIA BULLDOGS: As a top 16 team, Georgia earned the right to host the first two rounds as the top seed of their regional. The Bulldogs posted a 16-7 record this season and went 11-1 to win the Southeastern Conference regular season title outright. The Bulldogs have three players with at least 25 singles wins: Nathan Pasha, Hernus Pieters and Austin Smith. • #2 NORTH CAROLINA STATE WOLFPACK: The Wolfpack posted a 17-9 record this year with five wins in the challenging Atlantic Coast Conference. North Carolina State has three ranked doubles team, and is led by Austin Powell in singles. • #4 JACKSONVILLE STATE: The Gamecocks earned an automatic bid as the winner of the Ohio Valley Conference. Jacksonville State is 17-7 overall with an 8-1 mark in conference play. The Gamecocks are led Jefferson Wendler-Filho in singles wins. 2

Nils Schyllander is in his eighth year as head coach of the University of Oregon men’s tennis team, having turned the program into a regional power and a rising contender in the nation’s most difficult conference – the Pac-12. Schyllander has been at UO for a total of 15 years, having served four years as an assistant coach and three years as a head coach of the women’s program from 2004-06. Since being named head coach of the men’s team prior to the 2007 season, Schyllander has used his innate ability to judge talent and elite coaching skills to build a bright future for UO men’s tennis. The Ducks have continued to climb in the national ITA tennis rankings while cementing its status as a growing power in the west. In the past two seasons, Schyllander has guided the Ducks to their winnigest two-year stretch since the 1995-96 seasons. Oregon posted a 16-8 mark last season prior to a 17-7 record in the 2012 campaign en route to a .689 winning percentage the past two years (33-15). On March 12, 2013, the Ducks earned a program best No. 33 national ranking after being ranked in the top 75 for the majority of the spring season. The Ducks continued to reach new heights in the 2013 season, posting a 16-8 overall dual record with a number of quality achievements. Oregon reached a No. 33 ITA ranking, posted a 13-1 mark in a challenging nonconference schedule and defeated Stanford for the first time in program history. Schyllander had three Ducks post 20-win singles season, including freshman Daan Maasland, who’s 23-9 season ranked fourth best all-time. Robin Cambier (22-11) and Alex Rovello’s (21-8) win totals also ranked in the top 10 in UO charts. Schyllander guided the Ducks to a remarkable 71-31 doubles record on the season, led by Cambier and Jeff Mullen (23-7), who finished the season ranked No. 59. Academically, Schyllander had three players named to the All-Pac-12 Academic teams as honorable mentions. In the 2012 campaign, Schyllander guided the Ducks to 17 wins, the most since the

1994-95 season, including three victories over nationally ranked programs. Through UO’s first 15 matches, the Ducks posted a remarkable record of 14-1. Oregon was ranked within the ITA top 75 for the entirety of the spring dual schedule. Schyllander’s No. 69 ranked doubles team of Robin Cambier and Jeff Mullen break the school record for wins with 28 against only four losses. Cambier also moved to second on Oregon’s all-time best singles season list (24); Daniel Sardu was fifth with 22 and Alex Rovello was eighth on the list with 21 wins. Cambier’s impressive sophomore campaign included him earning UO’s only Pac-12 Player of the Week honor for the week of March 5-11 in addition to him capping off the season with being named to the Pac-12’s honorable mention list. Academically, UO had three tabbed Pac-12 All-Academic team. As a Schyllander’s program was tabbed as All Academic team with Sardu being an ITA Scholar-Athlete.

A former Northern Arizona University standout, Schyllander began his collegiate coaching career with the Lumberjacks as an assistant coach at Northern Arizona University during the 1995-96 season. He coordinated the team’s recruiting and practice components, and also oversaw opponent scouting and various administrative duties. As a player, the two-time Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention selection was also voted the team’s MVP and Northern Arizona University’s men’s athlete of the year in 1995. Prior to his arrival in Flagstaff, Ariz., Schyllander played one season at Saddleback College, receiving All-America recognition in 1993. A native of Tessinkolan, Sweden, he graduated from high school in 1990 with an emphasis in Political Science. Afterwards, Schyllander served in the Swedish Royal Army in the Ammunition Transport Platoon through June, 1992. Schyllander graduated from Northern Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and a minor in physical education. Schyllander and his wife, Rebecca, have two daughters, Elin Elisabet (10/6/02) and Ida Eleonora (7/6/07).
