The officials of Centennial Park were looking to add a Splashpad® as a way to keep families in their nature park longer. Sensitive to water conservation, they opted for a solution that would work in conjunction with nature. As such, the water used in the Splashpad® is supplied from an underground aquifer, and is drained into Mill Lake, situated in the heart of Centennial Park. The water then percolates through the soil, acting as a natural bio-filter, and returns to the acquifer. Vortex Solutions: WMS: Size: Play Capacity: Est. Budget:

Lost Hills Park
C&R
The small agricultural city of Lost Hills wanted to commission a large Splashpad® in its municipal park. They wanted to do so with minimum water consumption, but did not have the resources to maintain a recirculating system. Vortex’s solution was to combine a Capture & Repurpose water management system with an appropriate selection of features — such as the Bamboo products — a Smartflow technology using sequencing and fast-acting valves. As such, 15,000 gallons per day of effluent water are captured and repurposed to irrigate the park’s turf. Vortex Solutions: WMS: Size: Play Capacity: Est. Budget:
Splashpad® Smarflow (Capture & Repurpose) 4,000 sq. ft. (370 sq. m.) 160 children USD 180,000 - 195,000
